One big street fiesta

Dundas St. will be home to more than cars this summer.

Packed with live music, vendors, activities for kids and local artists, Dundas will be turned into one big street party over four weekends this summer between Wellington and Ridout streets for Car Free Festival.

And the love will be spread to four neighbourhoods - Old East Village, Old South, Kipps Lane and Summerside - which will each have their own Car Free Festival during a weekend this summer.

Police investigate gun fire

London police are investigating after a bullet hole was found through a home on Spiritwood Court Thursday. Police were called to the area at 6:15 a.m. When they arrived, residents inside the home told investigators they awoke about 3 a.m. to knocking at their door. Moments later, they heard a noise they thought was a firecracker and saw two people running away. When they awoke again in the morning, they found a bullet hole in their door and called police.

Weapons seized, three arrested

Three men face a slew of weapons charges after they were arrested at the corner of Wellington Rd. and Horton St. Thursday night.

Sources say police were called just after 11 p.m. after someone reported suspicious people in the area and later seized several weapons, including a rifle.

Couples relationship unstable

The woman found dead in a southeast London home wanted to end her relationship with her husband, sources close to the family say.

It's also alleged that Patricia Pacheco-Hernandez and Daniel Jimenez-Acosta had been arguing in the days leading up to Pacheco-Hernandez's death.

London police found the 41-year-old mother of three dead in the two-story Adswood Rd. townhouse she shared with her husband after a neighbour's frantic 911 call Wednesday.
