Man stabbed during fight

A male was sent to hospital after getting stabbed in an early morning dustup Tuesday in downtown London.

An altercation between two groups of males around 2 a.m. led to a fight, police said.

A male was stabbed and taken to hospital in serious condition, police said.

He remains in hospital where his condition has been upgraded to stable.

A 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both London residents, are charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.

100-million Gateway project planned

A $100-million "gateway" project will mark London's Highway 401 entrance.
More than 60 acres of land -- from the Costco store, south of Hwy. 401 on Wellington Road to Dingman Road -- will be home to a 500,000 square foot retail and commercial plaza.
"It is an exciting development, we want to bring London to Hwy. 401," said David Johnston, president of PenEquity. Realty Corp. in Toronto who is developing the project.
