a case police call “alarming,” a handgun, ammunition and five bullet-proof vests were seized in a drug raid on a London home.
Members of the guns and drugs section searched a Windermere Rd. home and seized drugs and drug paraphernalia. And when they searched a Hummer SUV they found more drugs. Two London men were arrested and charged.
“It’s alarming,” said Const. Dennis Rivest. “It’s significant any time we get a handgun off the streets, but especially so when you consider the number of rounds (74) they had and the fact they had five bullet-proof vests. ”
A Taurus semi-automatic .40-calibre handgun, the ammunition and vests were seized last Saturday evening, along with a small quantity of marijuana, cocaine, 92 Ocycocet pills, two scales, cellphones and $1,550 in cash.
