Pair jailed for manslaughter


A brother and sister who pleaded guilty to being accessories after a manslaughter were kept in custody this morning.
Sasha Ireland, 22, a mother of three young children was sentenced to two years in prison for her part in the death of Troy Nicholas last August.
Her brother, Fred Doxtator-Ireland, 18, was sentenced to 17 months in jail.
Both are First Nations members as was Nicholas. All three and Keeley Shipway, 18, had been drinking together when an argument flared up between Nicholas and Doxtator-Ireland.
