Diamond Aircraft is asking Industry Canada to give it about $8 million immediately so its laid-off workers can be recalled.
Mayor Joe Fontana, who's been directly involved in the plane maker's high-profile push for a $35 million federal loan, detailed the new request he says should be much easier to grant.
