Ontario Provincial Police in Lambton have charged a former priest with three counts of sexual assault.
Gabriele DelBianco is charged for incidents that occurred between 1983 and 1986, said the London diocese of the Roman Catholic Church, which issued an apology Friday. The diocese said it has received claims from six women regarding sexual misconduct that occurred while they were minors.
The diocese said DelBianco was sent in 1994 for evaluation at a residential facility an decided to leave the priesthood in 1996.”
