Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for the London region at 5 a.m. Monday calling for as much as 40 mm of rain.
An intensifying low pressure system over the southern plains of the U.S. will track slowly towards the Great Lakes regions tonight, the advisory said.
Rain is expected to start in Southwestern Ontario this afternoon.
