The London Food Bank's spring food drive kicks off Friday and with an election looming, organizers hope Londoners still show their generosity.
Last year, 63,150 pounds of non-perishable food and non-food items were donated. Sixty per cent of that was given to other social services agencies, such as The Salvation Army.
About 3,000 families a month use the food bank.
The food bank saw its busiest month March 2010, when 3,477 families turned to it for help.
