SIU clears London police in death

Ontario’s police watchdog agency says there was no wrongdoing on the part of London police when a group home resident died when they tried to subdue him for paramedics.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) was called in after the 20-year-old died Aug. 3, 2010 after police were called to assist paramedics at a Clarke Rd. group home around 6:30 p.m. when the man wouldn’t let them take him to hospital.
