Researchers at Western are doing their part to keep the crew safe aboard the space shuttle Endeavour after it launches Monday.
Before NASA astronauts step outside their spacecraft at the International Space Station, they'll rely on data from the Canadian Meteor Orbit Radar, based at the University of Western Ontario, to determine it's safe to do so.
UWO scientists use a series of smart cameras, a radar system and computer modeling, to provide real-time data.
