Oxford OPP are warning Internet users of a phishing scam after a 63-year-old Ingersoll man got a message claiming to be from hotmail asking for the password to his account.
The message said his account would be terminated otherwise.
Since giving over his information, the man hasn't been able to access his account and someone is sending messages from it, asking his contacts for money.
Police are reminding people not to send personal information over the Internet.
